Present Perfect Continuous Tense.

The procedure of the lesson:

T: Good morning, dear children! Sit down! Who is on duty today? What date is it today? Who is absent today?

Now I’ll show you the verb and you should translate it and name the three forms of this verb.

Eg.: come – came – come (приходить)

Today we are going to learn the Present Perfect Continuous Tense.

Present Perfect Continuous Tense.

Оно обозначает действие предмета, которое началось в прошлом и длилось до момента речи. Не известно закончилось оно или нет.

Оно образуется при помощи вспомогательного глагола have/has, been и смыслового глагола с окончанием ing.

В этом времени используются предлоги since, for.

Example: I have been reading a book for 2 hours.

Ex. 1 p. 24 Look at the pictures and discuss them.

Ex. 2 p. 24 Write down the ideas about those people.

Ex. 3 p. 24 Read your ideas to the class.

Ex. 5 p. 24 Read and translate the sentences.

Ex. 6 p. 25 Read the sentences and match them with the picture.

Where is she? – She has been staying at home for already two hours.

Where are the children? – They have been playing in the yard.

My friend has been studying English since his childhood.

Я уже полчаса читаю эту книжку.
I have been reading this book for already a half an hours.

Он уже три дня занимается в университете.
He has been studying in the university for already three days.

Она уже десять минут ищет свою сумку.
She has been searching her bag for already ten minutes.

Они уже десять лет живут в Нью Йорке.
They have been living in New York for already ten years.

Ваш брат уже вернулся с отпуска? — Да, он уже неделю, как дома.
Has your brother already returned back from the vacation? – Yes, he has been staying at home for a week.
