The procedure of the lesson: T: Good morning, dear children! Sit down! Who is on duty today? What date is it today? Who is absent today? How are you today? What’s the weather like today? Do you like to watch films? Do you like to go to the cinema and theatre? What do you prefer going to the cinema or theatre? Ex. 13 p. 53 Read your sentences! The theme of our lesson is “Cinemas in London”. Today we are going to talk about cinemas in London, different kinds of films, TV programmes and your attitude to them. Read the words and divide them into 3 groups: music, TV programme and films. Is cinema-going popular in our country? Ex. 2 p. 54 Read and translate the text. Ex. 3 p. 55 Answer the questions about cinemas in London. Ex. 4 p. 55 Read the sentences and say if it is the same in our country. Ex. 5 p. 55 Answer the questions. Ex. 6 p. 55 Pair work. Tell each other what the following films are about. Eg.: “Romeo and Juliet” is about love of two teenagers whose families hated each other.
