1) Обеспечить в ходе урока усвоение учащимися новой лексики и нового грамматического материала.

The procedure of the lesson:

T: Good morning, dear children! Sit down! Who is on duty today? What date is it today? Who is absent today?

How are you today? What’s the weather like today? Do you know people who smoke? How do you think why people smoke?

As you’ve already understood the theme of our lesson is “Smoking habits”. We will talk about smoking and its influence on our health. And we will learn the suffixes of nouns and adjectives.

Ex. 1 p. 25 Answer the questions.

Ex. 2 p. 25 Pair work. Make a list of bad effects of smoking. Why do people smoke? Write your ideas.

Ex. 3 p. 25 Listening. Listen to two people who speak about their smoking habits. But before listening read and write down the new words and their translations.

Ex. 4 p. 25 Draw a table in your notebooks and complete it

Ex. 5 p. 26 Listen to the text again and check your answers.

Ex. 6 p. 26 Read and remember the words and their definitions.

Ex. 7 p. 26 Reading. Read and translate the texts.

Ex. 8 p. 26 Fill in the table using the texts.
