T: Good morning, dear children! Sit down! Who is on duty today? What date is it today? Who is absent today?

Today we are going to talk about teenagers’ rights. But first we’ll learn the Past Continuous Tense.

Form: was, were + Ving

Example: I was writing a letter at 5 o’clock yesterday.

We were playing in the garden at 3 o’clock yesterday.

Ex. 2 p. 109 Listen and practice.

Ex. 3 p. 109 Read and match the sentences and pictures.

Ex. 4 p. 110 Talk to your partner

Example: Yesterday at 9 o’clock I was having breakfast.

Ex. 5 p. 110 Ask and answer the questions.

Example: – What were you doing at 3 o’clock yesterday?

-I was doing my homework.

Ex. 7 p. 111 Talk about what you were doing at this time yesterday.

Example: I was swimming. / I’m sorry. I can’t remember.

Ex. 8 p. 111 Answer the questions. Read the words and practice the pronunciation. Open your vocabularies and write down the new words.
