Your home task was: Ex. 16 p. 92 Today we are going to review the modal verbs. Open your books at page 211 and read grammar rules Ex. 7 p. 211 Read the chart about modal verb must. Ex. 8 p. 211 Explain the meaning of the modal verb “must” in the following sentences. Ex. 9 p. 211 Read about the modal verb “ought”. Ex. 10 p. 212 What are the meanings of the modal verbs? Ex. 11 p. 212 Read about the modal verb “need”. Ex. 12 p. 212 Is “need” a modal verb or a notional verb. Ex. 17 p. Use modal verbs: must, have to, should, will. The students generate a set of rules for the situation they thought of according to the example. Ex. 18 p. 93 Talk to the class. Tell what you have to or must do today. Example: I must tidy the house because my friend is to come to me in the evening. Ex. 19 p. 93 Use “must” or “should”. Example: Tell me something a person should do in order to be healthy. In order to be healthy a person should eat healthy food and go in for sport.
