The procedure of the lesson: T: Good morning, dear children! Sit down! Who is on duty today? What date is it today? Who is absent today? How are you today? What’s the weather like today? What famous writers do you know? Do you know any Kazakh writers? Your home task was to retell the text about Abai Kunanbaev. Retell to the class! The theme of our lesson is “The importance of literature in our life”. Today we are going to learn how to use the modal verb “should”. Ex. I p. 49 Read the following statements from Abai’s Book of Words and discuss them as a class. Ex. II p. 49 Should is used to express what the speaker thinks is right or the best thing to do. It expresses mild obligation, or advice. Make up sentences. Example: I should learn English better. You should read Abai’s poetry. Ex. 1 p. 50 Translate the sentences into your native language. Ex. II p. 50 What do you think? Tell your opinion. Ex. III p. 50 Read the sentences and say what we should and shouldn’t do. Ex. VI p. 51 Having fun with English. Ex. V p. 51 Group work.
