Оборудование: игрушечные бананы и кости; картинки с изображением сказочных персонажей; игрушки; карточки с заданиями.
Ход урока
I. Организационный момент
Good morning, children!
Today we have a special lesson. It’s a game “Jungle Call”. Today you will recite poems, ask and answer questions and solve riddles. I hope the lesson will be interesting for you and you will enjoy it. And now let’s start our lesson.
I want you to divide into two groups. One group is “The Beasts of Prey” and the second group is “The Beasts of Grass”. “The Beasts of Prey” will have bones for good answers and doing tasks and “The Beasts of Grass” will have bananas. Well, teams, you have some time to choose the captain and decide how to present your team.
II. Проведение конкурсов
Конкурс 1. «Визитка»
(Команды рассказывают о себе и представляют своих капитанов.)
Примерный рассказ:
We are “The Beasts of Prey”. We are very quick, clever and energetic. In our team we have such animals as a wolf — Sasha, a fox — Lena, a crocodile — Petya, a tiger — Dima, a bear — Tanya. Our captain is brave and strong Lion-Pasha.
(За лучшую визитку команда получает банан (для «Травоядных») или кость (для «Хищников»).)
Конкурс 2. «Загадки»
(Учитель вывешивает на доске картинки с изображением различных сказочных персонажей и зачитывает рассказы. Ученики должны угадать, кого он описывает. Если команда не дает правильного ответа, право ответить получает команда соперников. За каждую разгаданную загадку команда получает кость или банан.)
Примерные загадки:
— She is nice and clever. She can count well. She is kind. This girl has a friend. Her friend is a dog. (Malvina.)
— This man is not kind. He is cruel. He has a lot of dolls. He lives in the theatre. (Karabas-Barabas.)
— She is kind. This girl has no mother. She is nice. She is not cruel. She is not timid. She lives in a poor house. (Cinderella.)
— He is very brave. He is not very clever. This boy has a lot of friends. He is nice. He has a long nose. (Buratino.)
Конкурс 3. «Один – много»
(Учитель вывешивает картинки с изображением животных, игрушек, людей или предметов. Задание для детей — написать, что они видят на картинках, а затем поставить данное существительное во множественном числе.)
Пример: fish — fish, dog — dogs, cat — cats, fox — foxes, child — children, sheep – sheep, leaf — leaves.
(За каждую правильную пару слов команда получает кость или банан.)
Конкурс 4. «Актер»
Children, I know you like to read fairy tales. Now you can tell us about your favourite character. But you can’t use your tongue to do it. You can show us what your fairy-tale character can or can’t do.
(Ученики от каждой команды по очереди должны изобразить какого-либо сказочного героя. Задача другой команды — узнать персонажа. За каждого угаданного героя команда получает кость или банан.)
Конкурс 5. Конкурс чтецов
(Каждая команда выбирает трех учеников, которые должны рассказать три различных стихотворения. В каждой паре из команд-соперниц выбирается лучший чтец, который приносит кость (банан) своей команде.)

9) Can you hop like a rabbit?
