The procedure of the lesson: T: Good morning, dear children! Sit down! Who is on duty today? What date is it today? Who is absent today? I’ll show you a letter and you should name it and its sound. Ex. 1 p. 38 (w/b), Ex. 16 p. 113 Grammar rules (фронтальный опрос). Today we are going to read two texts. The first text is called “The kangaroo rat” and the second – “Chimpanzees”. Answer the questions: Do you know something about chimpanzees or kangaroo rats? Open your books for reading and read the new words. Write them down into your vocabularies. Let’s read the text. Answer the questions: 1.What is this text about? 2.Where do they live? 3.What do they eat? 4. What interesting thing can you say about them? Ex. 6 p. 7 Fill in the chart by using the information from the text. Open your books on page 8. Look at the picture and answer the questions. Read the new words and write them down into your vocabularies. Let’s read and translate the text. Ex. 5 p. 8 Draw a diagram about chimpanzees. Now let’s write the retelling of these texts.
